~ Hakone, Japan ~
Today we took the Hakone Kamagatake Ropeway up to see Mt. Fuji-san! :] It ranges above 1,327 meters above sea level. The Railway is 1,800 meters long and it pretty much just brings the Hakone park and the summit together. The whole ride took no more than 7 minutes which is pretty cool. While we were on it though I couldn’t bare to look outside. I’m terrified of heights however I doubt it would’ve mattered much. The day we went to see Mt. Fuji-san was covered in a thick layer of fog. We could barely see in front of our faces let alone see Mt. Fuji. I was disappointed that I didn’t get a chance to see Mt. Fuji-san the one thing I really wanted to see other then the Giant Buddha. OH! The vending machines on the top of the air rail had the drinks come out in a cup with ice!!!! I was sooo amazed by it! :D It was almost pathetic!!!!! ^.^ I love Japan! <3
At the bottom of the air rail, there is a small shop. I can’t recall the name however it was a very cute store. I’d love to shop there again. Inside the store sold a lot of Studio Ghibli stuffed animals, puzzles, and cell phone charms, and many more things. I actually found myself taken to stare at the Howl’s Moving Castle plush dolls they had a total of two different ones one was Howl in his may day attire along with his blonde hair and then the other was Young Sophie in her blue dress. :] They were pricy though otherwise I would’ve bought them. They were both about 63,000¥ a piece. Anyways wondering around with Kristi we found the Nintendo plushies. Here in this section that had large and small plushies of: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Kirby, Animal crossing characters, and even Link from the Legend of Zelda. I ended up buying Link the larger one for about 21,000¥. I also bought my I <3 Japan shirt that same day at that shop. :]
After the trip, we ended up staying at the Sunmi club Hotel. Which was very cute. The room we stayed in room # 301 was originally for four people however since Chandra would always sleep in Alisha room Kristi and I had a Japanese style room with futons and everything! The whole room was just too cute! I took pictures of every corner of it. <3 We had about an hour or 2 to prepare ourselves for the Kimono dinner that night. The kimonos in our rooms weren’t that pretty however they were still really cute to put on! ^-^ I was so paranoid that I was going to put mine on wrong! Their supposed to go from left to right and if you do it the other way people will think you’re in mourning!!! D:
I didn’t eat much at the dinner. Most of it was raw or it had eyes. :[ Thus I just couldn’t bring myself to eat it. I need my food cooked. T^T I enjoyed the rice though!!! Not to mention we HAD to eat with Chopsticks so I was pretty bad at grabbing my food. xD
Kristi and I watched Animex there they were playing the Majin boo episodes of DBZ. ;] It was better in Japanese. ^^
Also my suitcase with all my belongings had been shipped off to Tokyo and I forgot to grab some sleep shorts out of the bag so I had to where the shorts I wore that day my plaid pink ones that had these horrid metal buttons on the back pockets. :[ Thus I had a VERY unhappy butt by the next morning. :[
