Going through 19 years of life already I have come to the conclusion that humans are the most confusing creature on the face of the earth. I realized this fact when I attended the session that was held for the local 4th graders. There were a variety of university kids that did show up however not all of them were there for the kids at all.
The girl whom I ended up working with was more concerned about her cell phone and the incoming text message she was receiving then she was of trying to help the kids before her understand more about the creatures that were captured in the water early that morning.
Originally I didn’t want to go to the session however since I’m that nice girl that can never say no I went and attended it because I said I would be there. Even though I didn’t really want to be there I still placed the children first before all other things and in the ended I got to look at some pretty cool specimens. I just really don’t see the point of coming if your only there to get the point that you think you can earn by simply showing up and ignoring everything that’s going on around you. Those children came up here to learn something new about the environment and even to meet someone new and interesting to them. Next time a seminar like that comes up I hope that no one is ignored and that people can truly expand in their knowledge.
